The fascinating 65m explorer yacht concept with an almost military stance has been beautifully designed by Barracuda Yacht Design. The ‘go-anywhere’ 65m Barracuda Explorer motor yacht concept is an ice-class approved design with living space and accommodation amenities normally found on an equivalent length luxury superyacht. Various yacht design concepts by the well known Madrid-based naval architects, including the 65m Barracuda Explorer, will be displayed at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show on stand DG2.
The 65m Barracuda Explorer superyacht concept has been designed with prominent bow and double-chine effect. The explorer is thus capable of handling rougher than normal conditions, while keeping decks as dry as possible.
Among the many remarkable features aboard the 65m Barracuda Explorer super yacht concept belongs the exploration deck with multipurpose crane, spacious enough for hosting two submarines, a quick deployment tender and two Jeep style vehicles, as well as a large enclosed garage storing two further limousine style tenders and four PWCs.
The 65m Barracuda Explorer yacht design boasts an amazing beach club with large swim-platform and dual side-opening doors, while not far away the helipad is not just ‘touch and go’ but is certified for a full utility, explorer’s helicopter. This demonstrates the vessel’s ‘split personality’.
Accommodation is divided into his/her owner’s suite on the upper deck with private terrace and incredibly huge walk-in wardrobe and adjacent bathroom space. The deck space is shared with that of the captain’s cabin, conveniently positioned next to the bridge. The main deck hosts four guest cabins and a VIP suite accessed via a central hall. Behind that, a large internal lounge and dining area leads through to a generous external patio.
There is also a gorgeous sky lounge, where guests can sit back and relax while enjoying 360° views and admiring the visual spectacle of the yacht’s very own helicopter.
The 65m Barracuda Explorer yacht design is a capable long-range cruiser with up to 7,000nm range, able to achieve a maximum speed in the region of 16 to 18 knots and cruising speed in the region of 14 knots – the perfect vessel even for the most adventurous owner.
