The spectators and crews participating in the yesterday’s SAIL Amsterdam event had a unique chance to take a glimpse at the giant 96-metre Feadship mega yacht Hull 1006, while being transported from the Slob yard in Papendrecht, south of Amsterdam, to the Feadship yard in Makkum, north of the capital city. The fully custom superyacht Hull 1006 passed right through the heart of the SAIL parade, offering a sneak preview of her beautiful lines.
Due to be launched in 2017, Feadship motor yacht Hull 1006 has now reached Makkum for outfitting. Destined for a repeat Feadship client, the superyacht will boast a special helicopter hangar, a large swimming pool on the main deck, as well as lovely and comfortable accommodation for her guests and crewmembers.
Taking place once every five years, the iconic SAIL Amsterdam event opens with a special parade of boats in all shapes and sizes. This year, hundreds of thousands of people lined the banks of the IJ River in Amsterdam to admire an amazing flotilla of over forty Tall Ships, naval vessels, impressive replicas and many other vessels, including a convoy of classic motoryachts from the Feadship Heritage Fleet.
There are more charter yachts built by Feadship here.
