Heesen Yachts is thrilled to announce that on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at their facility in Oss, the Netherlands, the hull and superstructure of the new YN 17755 motor yacht ALIDA (project name) were successfully joined together. Currently available for sale, superyacht ALIDA is a striking 55m Fast Displacement vessel, boasting clean and muscular exterior lines by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, with lavish interiors by Bannenberg & Rowell. Following her intensive sea trials in the North Sea, she is expected to be delivered in Spring 2017.
The exterior design of luxury yacht ALIDA emphasises the indoor-outdoor connection, thanks to numerous glass insertions in the bulwarks and 180-degrees floor to ceiling windows of the 102 sq/m sky lounge. She boasts a bold and distinctive character, thanks to vertical windows on the main deck, as well as an original “shark-tooth” design detail on the overhang of the wheelhouse.
Boasting the innovative Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) technology, super yacht ALIDA will have frugal fuel consumption. Two MTU 8V 4000 M63 diesel engines have been installed aboard the well-engineered FDHF devised by van Oossanen and further developed by the yard’s in-house naval architects. The vessel is expected to have an amazing range of 4,500nm at 13 knots, while a cruising speed will be 15 knots at 85% maximum continuous rating.
The generous interiors of ALIDA yacht will comfortably sleep 12 guests in 6 staterooms. The master suite is traditionally positioned on the main deck forward, while the other 5 guest cabins can be found on the lower deck, including one full-beam VIP cabin aft, two twin cabins amid ship and two double cabins forward, all with en-suite bathrooms.
Moreover, ALIDA yacht also boasts plenty of outdoor space, including a vast 110 sq/m sun deck. With two tenders readily accessible on the foredeck for efficient launching and recovery, the lazarette will be dedicated to a beach club accessible both from the main deck, as well as the fixed swim platform.
