Rhoades Young Design have unveiled their latest 42m Gentleman’s Motor Yacht concept, celebrating the romance of the 1920’s yachting, but utilising a modern hull shape with a generous beam and excellent stability to develop a general arrangement that incorporates the modern lifestyle facilities of today’s Superyachts.
This wider beam of the 42m Rhoades Young superyacht concept has allowed the award-winning UK design studio to utilise the increased volume, with accommodation for 8 guests provided on the lower deck. The main deck hosts a large owner’s suite providing triple aspect views and featuring an office and walk through wardrobe, leading to a luxuriously appointed bathroom. Further aft, a predominantly glazed lower saloon leads out to a dining area on the aft deck, perfect for an al-fresco dining.
The pilothouse on the upper deck of the 42m Rhoades Young yacht concept benefits from having fantastic visibility with access to the captain’s cabin positioned just behind. Walking out on to the deck, a sheltered seating area provides an amazing vantage point out across the water, with ample space for sunbathing available. A pair of 6m tenders can be found on the deck beyond, with a crane for raising and lowering to and from the water. Moreover, there is a fold away bathing platform and boarding ladder, allowing guests easy access to the water.
