Arcadia Yachts is proud to unveil a significant and intense stage of activities. Six units are currently in build, two units for each new model in the GPR range: Arcadia Sherpa and Arcadia 100. In the meantime the Arcadia 85 reaches hull n.11 and the flagship Arcadia 115 reaches hull n.5.
“Our new yacht owners will contribute to spread out the presence of our brand worldwide. Arcadia touches base with unexplored waters like Peru and again with Middle East. I believe it’s a very important achievement for a niche product. Our concepts require time to be accepted. We knew from the very beginning, and we still experience it, that there are no “in betweens” with our yachts. I truly did not expect such an extensive territorial coverage in such a short time. But being a transversal product surely helped us to reach different countries and nationalities acclaim,” commented Ugo Pellegrino, President and CEO of Arcadia Yachts.
Moreover, the first Arcadia 100 yacht already has a new Owner. “The first unit of Arcadia 100 belongs to an Italian owner and will remain in Italy,” proudly stated Ugo Pellegrino.
Three of the units under construction have commissions, while the remaining three are to build on spec and will allow Arcadia Yachts to attend the next international boat shows in calendar year 2016 with proper “demo-yachts”. Several and serious negotiations are underway for the new entries Arcadia Sherpa and Arcadia 100, far before their official unveiling and launches. “That to us represents an important achievement. I do believe this fact encourages clients and partners to initiate negotiations with a young shipyard as Arcadia Yachts,” said Ugo Pellegrino.
Francesco Guida, internal and external design at Arcadia Yachts, commented: “This positive trend is the direct result of Arcadia’s commitment to quality, our investments in engineering, production processes and constant research in state-of-the-art green technology. Our long experience in the yachting business and our aim to create ‘forward thinking yachts’ show in our projects and that makes the winning difference.”
ARCADIA 100 UPDATE
Arcadia 100 yacht was officially unveiled as a media preview last April and afterwards introduced to the public during the 2015 Cannes Yachting Festival. Arcadia superyacht Hull #01 was contracted last June and sold to an Italian owner. Lamination began at the end of August and as of today production is full swing, with an estimated date of launch before the end of June 2016.
The hull, main deck and superstructure of the first Arcadia 100 yacht have been completed, assembled and positioned in the outfitting shed. Created by Francesco Guida, the interior design of the main deck and guest cabins have been proposed to owner for his final approval.
Luxury yacht Arcadia 100 is being built in GRP and aluminum. She will be a semi-displacement vessel, reaching a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots. With a notable gross tonnage slightly under 300 GT, this unit – as all the others in the range, delivers volumes and amenities usually found on much larger yachts. This is a key feature appreciated by the repeat owner who previously experienced an Arcadia 85 yacht.
Arcadia 100 motor yacht Hull #01 will provide accommodation across 5 luxurious cabins, with the owner’s suite forward on main deck opening directly on the private sun deck, convertible into a dinette, on the bow. The bed – in the middle of the cabin – is facing forward. Washroom, dressing room and vanity area are well integrated in a spacious and very well illuminated environment.
The lower deck hosts two VIP cabins and two guest cabins. There is also a very spacious and well-finished crew area along with a 5,6 meter tender garage, with space available for two water-toys as well.
The main deck – directly connected to the cockpit – features both salon and dining area, creating a single, bright and airy space. Floor to ceiling windows and solar panels give a very exclusive and modern look to the yacht. The double glazing panel that incorporates the photovoltaic cells is a very unique and distinguishable feature of all the living areas on Arcadia yachts and remain their most evident ECO feature. The whole living area can be transformed into a patio at sea (full opening salon) thanks to lateral and aft sliding doors and balconies. The gorgeous ‘al fresco’ zone with direct view of sea is a new solution for Arcadia’s yachts.
The first Arcadia 100 superyacht boasts a new concept flying-bridge, convertible into a sheltered third-deck, completely enclosed and protected by the side windows that can be raised up electrically to meet the hard-top, exactly as it works with cars. Therefore the whole upper-deck area becomes much more flexible and usable in any weather, being air-conditioned in very hot climes or bad weather, or left open and aired if needed, as per any traditional flying-bridge. The third deck features the wheelhouse, a lounge with sofas and coffee tables and wet- bar, while externally, towards the stern, a sun-deck.
At the moment, the Arcadia 100 super yacht Hull #02 is on lamination. This process is expected to be completed by the end of December 2015.
ARCADIA 85 YACHT HULL #11 SOLD IN PERU
The layout and the functional living concepts of the Arcadia 85 motor yacht Hull #11, sold to a Peruvian/Latin American owner, are the result of a construction evolution: the linear design of the superstructure and the vertical line of the bow deliver a better use of every single available internal/external space.
The uniqueness of Arcadia’s project is resolving the design solution to integrate solar panels into a performance yacht. The yard’s passion for solar technology and clean mobility is finally expressed in the 26 meter Arcadia 85 yacht with a beam of just over seven meters, equipped with 40 square meters of photovoltaic panels, each composed of hundreds of high performance solar cells.
The design of the Arcadia 85 superyacht reflects simple and understated styling with a harmonious blend between the indoor and outdoor areas. The Arcadia 85’s vast aft-deck lounge boasts a well protected cockpit, ideal for dining, as well as a generous sunbathing area towards the stern of the yacht.
