Yachting Developments has announced that they will once again sponsor the NZ Millennium Cup. The South Pacific‘s premier superyacht regatta will run in the fabulous Bay of Islands from January 27 to 29, 2016.

“The NZ Millennium Cup is the perfect showcase of all that New Zealand has to offer superyachts and we are proud to show our ongoing support for this popular regatta,” commented Ian Cook, Managing Director of Yachting Developments.

Twice a winner of the regatta, the 33,8m charter yacht Silvertip will once again attend in January. Built by Yachting Developments in 2002, this beautiful vessel has a fierce reputation for being one to watch on the course. The legendary Kiwi boat Steinlager 2 will also return, following her refit restoration at Yachting Developments in 2014, and her victory in the Pacific Cup division in 2015.

The event represents the perfect opportunity for visiting superyachts to enjoy three days of racing in the Bay of Islands, some of New Zealand’s most beautiful waters.
