The photos below of the three hull sections of the new 107m mega yacht FB 277 by Benetti have been released by Mec-Carpensalda from Livorno, Italy. Once completed, the impressive 107m FB277 will represent the largest vessel ever built by Benetti.
Due to its size, the steel hull of the voluminous 107m FB277 was constructed in three separate sections, and subsequently transported by barge to the Benetti yard.
Due to be delivered in 2019, the FB 277 will have a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, with naval architecture and design by the yard’s in-house team. She is expected to be run by twin powerful Rolls Royce diesel electric engines, reaching a maximum speed of 18,5 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots.
The prestigious Italian shipyard is currently working on the 90m FB 262, expected to hit the water soon. Moreover, another 107m, FB 279, is due to be launched in 2020.
