Heesen Yachts are pleased to announce that the 50m semi-displacement luxury yacht project AKOYA (YN17650) hit the water on April 1 during a private ceremony at their shipyard’s facilities.
Project AKOYA represents the fifth vessel in the award-winning 50m class series, boasting sleek exterior styling designed by Omega Architects and a striking ‘shark-grey’ hull.
The vessel features four spacious deck areas with space for every occasion: the foredeck provides intimate space for relaxation, the 70 square metre sun deck is fabulous for sunbathing, the upper deck aft terrace offers a relaxed al fresco dining possibility and the multifunctional main deck aft is great for entertainment, socialising or to simply unwind.
AKOYA offers the highest possible internal volume under the 500GT threshold and accommodated twelve guests in six luxuriously appointed staterooms. The master suite is situated on the main deck while the rest of the guest cabin have been placed on the lower deck. The guests accommodation includes a full-beam VIP stateroom, two twin cabins that convert into doubles, and two double cabins. All accommodation has private en suite facilities.
YN 17650 will by undertaking sea trials in the North Sea where she is expected to reach a top speed of 23 knots. Her delivery is scheduled for June.
