Zuccon has announced its first concept design for yacht builders Picchiotti Yachts: The PY HERITAGE 45M, an explorer yacht that can also work in conjunction as a support vessel for Perini Navi.
The design pays tribute to Gerhard Gilgenast, who was naval architect and interior and exterior designer for some of the most iconic Picciotti Yachts creations as well as big 90s names M/Y OCTOPUSSY and M/Y THE WELLESLEY.
Bringing a contemporary touch to Gerhard Gilgenast’s style, Zuccon has created an exclusive concept unique to the market:
- A height clearance of 3 metres on the main deck
- Extensive use of floor-to-ceiling glass panels to merge the inner space with the exterior and landscape
- A lower deck owner’s suite complete with private terrace at the stern, and
- Room for a 9m tender and 9m sailing boat on the bow, leaving more internal space to meet the increasing demand for more water toys
“I can’t help but feel extremely honoured by this new collaboration,” said architect Bernardo Zuccon. “Picchiotti doesn’t need any introduction because it has written an important chapter in yachting history both in Italy and worldwide. Setting out along this path is a source of pride for our firm, particularly as we are doing so with a project that is both experimental and extremely fascinating, as well as one that wants to pay tribute to an architect that has made an important contribution to Picchiotti Yachts over the years.”
