Columbus Yachts have announced that the completion of their 80m mega yacht is expected earlier that the initially set date. Columbus Classic 80m is scheduled for delivery next year, instead of 2019. The yacht will be transported to Columbus’s facilities in Ancona by the end of this year, where her hull and aluminium superstructure will be joined.
This imposing 79.50-metre vessel will feature an exterior design by Hydro Tec and interior design by Francesco Guida Design. Columbus 80m will have a beam of 13 metres and an internal volume of 2150 GT.
The full-beam deck will allow for plenty of luxurious living spaces. One of the outstanding amenities of Columbus 80 will be a huge swimming pool with hydro massage, which will measure seven metres long and have a waterfall. Like most brand new mega yachts, Columbus 80 will be equipped with a helipad. Among other amenities, there are sauna, beach club, gymnasium and cinema theatre. There will also be lots of storage space to water toys and tenders.
Accommodation will be provided in 6 cabins for a total of 12 guests, plus another cabin on the lower deck for guests or staff members.
Powered by a pair of MTU 16V 4000M63L diesel engines, the yacht will be able to reach a top speed of 16.50 knots and cruise comfortably at 12 knots.
