The latest concept, a 67m explorer yacht, is being developed by the Italian yard Viareggio Superyachts in collaboration with Hot Lab.
This exciting news was announced at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The design of this superyacht is going to be very modern with elegance and style in abundance. Her interior is being styled by Hot Lab’s Enrico Lumini. The project is being built around the concept of original explorer yachts. The aim is to include classic bows and rugged superstructures that represent research vessels as well as working boats.
With the aft deck being open, there’s plenty of space for free-standing sun loungers, sofas and comfortable chairs. These can be removed easily in order to make room for a helideck. The transom which won’t have a staircase built into it, can be folded out to form a full-beam swimming platform. This will be located next to the beach club. The glass-sided infinity pool is going to provide a salt-free dip for guests on the upper deck.
Michele Dragoni has said as you climb from one deck to the next on this fabulous superyacht, you will notice full and empty spaces. This is one of the many characteristic style features of this explorer yacht concept.
Inside the interior is beautifully classic. There’s a wonderful choice of a six or seven cabin layout available too. The owner’s suite on the upper deck has 180-degree stunning views, a his and hers bathroom and a private study. The sky lounge is bright and airy with glazed windows on three sides.
Viareggio Superyachts are also developing the 63.8m VSY Hull 003 which will see its launch in 2018.
