Heesen has announced the Christening of PROJECT ALBA, a 50m/164ft superyacht now named VanTom during a private ceremony at the Oss shipyard in front of her owners and the Heesen workforce.
Originally constructed on speculation, it wasn’t until six months into the build that PROJECT ALBA was bought by her current owners, whom have worked closely with designers Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini to create contemporary, personally-tailored interior and exterior living spaces. Among the luxurious details is a high-quality set of bespoke furniture created by Heesen’s own carpentry team.
There is a classic layout of a spacious forward Master suite on the main deck and five other guest cabins located on the lower deck, providing sleeping quarters for up to 12 guests.
The semi-displacement superyacht VanTom will will undergo sea trials in the North Sea over the coming months before being delivered to her owners in January 2018. She is expected to compare the same with her sisterships, reaching a top speed of 23 knots and at 11 knots she is expected to have a range of 3,100 nautical miles.
