Following on from the success of 35m/115ft motor yacht GIPSY, Otam has designed a new 35m/115ft concept range using aluminium construction. Designed by Niccolò Pasquini and Alessio Riccobaldi of R+P Architecture Studio, the new model joins the Otam Custom Range from 24 to 40 metres and is based on guidelines from a potential buyer.
Luxury yacht GIPSY is considered the first unit in the Otam Custom Range and was based on the Otam SD35 series. After her launch in 2016 she won the Best Naval Architecture – Semi-Displacement and Planing Motor Yacht award at the Showboats Design Awards 2017 and the Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts 34m to 39.9m award at the World Superyacht Awards 2017. The concept has since been developed with sleek military styling coupled with an on-trend plumb bow that offers seating and sun pads on the upper deck. The aft exterior section could be used to hold a 7m-long tender with a winch crane to launch and retrieve, while the interior would contain a second salon.
The above sundeck can also be completely customised to the owner’s wishes, with the architects initially proposing a bow Jacuzzi with an elongated sun pad either side, two L-shaped sofas to create an alfresco lounge and a bar and adjacent dining area under a hardtop for shade.
For accommodation, the owner has numerous options for the 50m² of private space on the main deck forward, while the main deck communal living area would contain a vast salon and dining area as well as a day-head and large kitchen according to the current layout.
On the lower deck, the accommodation continues with four fully-equipped guest cabins covering 70m², while the crew is also provided with the best in comfort with 50m² of space fitted with three double cabins, a dinette and laundry. There is a space in the stern that can be customised into a beach club, children’s play area, gym or tender garage as the owner requires.
