Heesen is proud to announce the sale of its fifth superyacht in 2017. This brings the total linear length of vessels sold this year to 257 metres. This stylish motor yacht made from aluminium was built on the design and engineering platform of Nova Plus. Project Boreas provides efficient and fast performance due to its fast displacement hull form. With a draft of 2.15m, Project Boreas has a beautiful contemporary exterior designed by the renowned Omega Architects.
The sailing yacht owner client was attracted by the efficiency, seakeeping and versatility of the fast displacement hull form. He approached the shipyard personally and worked with the engineers to customise his new superyacht which was one year into construction.
Due to his sailing experience, the client was able to add his own personal touch into each area of the new vessel.
Project Boreas is a wonderful example of how a client is able to customise the pre-engineered design platform of a hull that is already being built. This actually helps to shorten the delivery time too. After extensive sea trials in the North Sea the impressive yacht is expected to be delivered in July 2019.
Highlights of the Project Boreas include:
Cutting-edge exterior design by Omega Architects
A contemporary, inviting interior created by Mark Whiteley Design
A top speed of almost 20 knots
A full aluminium 50m FDHF motor yacht
3,750 nm range at 12 knots and fuel consumption of about 98 litres per hour
Delivery July 2019
