Heesen has announced the successful delivery of 51m/167ft superyacht IRISHA (YN 18151) after extensive sea trials in the North Sea. Designed as a full-custom semi-displacement aluminium superyacht, Harrison Eidsgaard produced her interior and exterior styling using the muscular Heesen DNA while remaining under 500 GT.
Echoing the appearance of a fighter jet, luxury yacht IRISHA uses double-curved glazing, further enhanced by the pure white superstructure and Midnight Blue deck colour by Awlgrip, while the hull is metallic Pacific Blue custom paint by Alexseal that changes in the sunlight from deep blue to emerald sea green.
The strip LED lighting further enhances her profile at night, following her form of beauty, ambience and function. The swim platform to the aft is fixed in place for easy access in and out of the tenders.
Beige, grey and blue are used in the interior furnishings for a bright and spacious appearance textured materials manipulate the light along the walls and ceiling, creating an area that works both for casual family gatherings and for hosting special events. Sliding glass doors turn the main aft deck area into a winter garden, and when the doors are opened space can extend up to 8 metres/26 feet; an extending imperial dining table that can seat from 14 to 22 guests.
The Master suite is placed forward on the main deck and is comprised of a French balcony, a study, walk-in wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom with free-standing wengé bathtub and double therapy shower.
Even the staircase on board is designed as a piece of art, using DKT custom artwork panels and curved glass that connects all three decks.
The accommodation is designed to sleep nine crew and 10 guests on the lower deck, with two double cabins and two twin cabins that can be converted into one large VIP stateroom by removing a sliding partition. Within the beach club to the aft, guests are treated to a sauna and spa massage services.
The upper deck uses floor-to-ceiling windows for an abundance of natural light and views throughout the day. At night, the sky lounge becomes a cosy home theatre with a cinema screen and projector placed in front of the C-shaped seating area. An adjacent bar will provide refreshments throughout the evening, with a built-in lounge chair beside the windows offering a quiet place for winding down at the end of the day.
The aft deck area is designed for informal alfresco dining with seating integrated along the stern. Above, the 13m/43ft sundeck has a generously-sized hot tub with a sunbathing area to the aft, with lounge seating and a dining area placed centrally. A dumbwaiter services the forward bar for fast and effortless food delivery from the galley.
The foredeck features a hydraulically-driven canopy for shade and privacy as guests sunbathe.
During her sea trials, luxury yacht IRISHA reached a top speed of 26.1 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots, at which she has a transatlantic range of over 3,000 nautical miles.
Superyacht IRISHA will make her public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September this year.
