Baltic Yachts soon will be launching the new sailing yacht Baltic 67 Performance Cruiser. The shipbuilder released the first photo of the hull being transported.
Sailing yacht Baltic 67 was designed by Design Unlimited, while Judel/Vrolijk & Co developed her naval architecture. Measuring 20.5m with a beam of 5.3m, this yacht has a customised layout to suit the owner’s preferences.
This sailing yacht has been designed for guests keen on long distance passage making and also for fast cruising in the most popular spots of the Mediterranean, North Europe and other destinations including the Caribbean.
The new Baltic 67 performance cruiser is being built of carbon fibre, which creates a strong and light structure. This enables comfortable cruising and fast sailing in the light to moderate downwind conditions. The yacht is perfect for racing events and is extremely effective without having to convert to race mode.
Sales director Kenneth Nyfelt, said: “We estimate that building our lightweight 67-footer in advanced carbon composites will produce a yacht displacing four tonnes less than ´series production yachts. This fact alone offers a crucially important average long distance cruising speed advantage. Better performance enables genuine sailing in light to moderate downwind conditions at speeds that won’t require engine assistance. A number of current production yachts in this sector weigh in excess of 10 tonnes more than our target displacement weight of 21 tonnes.”
Baltic 67 is scheduled for delivery later this year.
