Johnson Yachts celebrates its 30thanniversary this year and has announced its new customisable JOHNSON 93 motor yacht from Bill Dixon Yacht Design, featuring a main deck Master suite with 270°forward views, an expansive flybridge and dual-level vertical windows.
Designed with a wide beam of 7.2m/23.7ft, her salon is of a size more often associated with larger luxury yachts. The vertical windows infuse the interior with daylight both for the main deck guest areas and the lower deck accommodation, particularly the full-beam VIP suite.
The main salon uses an open plan layout to incorporate the forward formal dining area and eight soft chairs surround a grand dining table. Pale anigre panelling in the salon adds a warm and modern element to the room which is furnished with an L-shaped sofa and swivel chairs around a mother-of-pearl coffee table. Whether spending a cosy night with family watching a film in the concealable starboard 50” widescreen TV or partying away, there is a large variety of drinks available: The aft bar comes equipped with a 24-bottle wine cooler, ice maker, and open-shelf wine bottle stowage.
From the formal dining area a port forward door leads directly to the galley, which is beautifully furnished in marble sole and stainless steel, and appliances include a five-burner cooktop, oven, two-door refrigerator, convection microwave, and dishwasher.
The accommodation layout is customisable and Owners can choose from three guest cabins up to six as desired. The Master suite also has the feature of electric curtain to maintain privacy, and the interior contains a king-size bed with a desk or dressing table to port and a starboard seating area for enjoying the sunshine in privacy.
In addition to the earlier-mentioned VIP stateroom, the lower deck also has two twin en-suite cabins and the port-side twin is convertible to a double and the bathrooms have marble-top vanities.
The customisable design allows for a skylounge in addition to a main salon, and a country kitchen can be placed on the main deck forward instead of the Master suite.
Outside, the main deck aft provides a sheltered environment for alfresco dining or outdoor lounging on the stern sofa and port and starboard stairways connect down to the hydraulic swim platform, which in turn provides access to the spacious tender garage where the water toys are also stored.
The flybridge is directly accessible from the pilothouse or from the main deck aft and the layout places additional seating beside the helm station as well as a C-shaped alfresco dining area to starboard beneath the hardtop with a wet bar and propane grill opposite. The aft section is left clear for sun loungers.
A pair of Caterpillar C32 engines each producing 1,925 HP will provide her power, resulting in a top speed of 24 knots and a cruising speed of 21 knots.
