World-renowned Italian shipyard Benetti has a reputation for designing exceptional luxury yachts for entertaining, and the 35.5m/116ft motor yacht BM004 (also known as BM 004 and BM-004) currently taking shape at the Italian shipyard is no exception.
The fourth hull in the popular Mediterraneo 116‘ series, superyacht BM004 was sold to an Asian buyer last year. Her interiors will be entirely customised to her Owner’s wishes while the exterior styling is the work of Giorgio M. Cassetta Design. A pure white hull and superstructure are contrasted by the dark shape of the glazing that tapers to a point towards the aft, adding to her sporty appearance.
Buyers of the Mediterraneo 116′ series are treated to a myriad of outdoor living areas from the sizeable swim platform extending out from the tender garage to the entertainment area on the sundeck. Of particular note is the foredeck, placing a love seat in front of the bridge and sunpads convertible to sun loungers in the centre of the space. The group can relax in comfort in the forward Jacuzzi to watch the sunset over exotic destinations while savouring cocktails prepared by the professional crew.
The interior layout contains two large lounges on the main deck and upper deck, the latter also incorporating a forward formal dining area for effortless flow between activities. Glass sliding doors open the interior to the fresh air and ambience of the main deck aft, where a casual lounge becomes a welcome addition and alternative place for conversations during quayside parties. The skylounge features a massive widescreen HDTV integrated into the forward wall and this second lounge doubles as a games room for family entertainment, quickly accessed by stairs or by a lift/elevator. Intimate alfresco dining takes place on the upper deck aft, where a grand table seats up to 10 guests with a bar opposite and seating along the stern for after-dinner leisure.
The largest sunbathing area is to be found on the sundeck, where sun loungers cover the aft and soft sunpads are fitted to the forward section. The central hardtop has a retractable roof so that guests can choose how they dine, and sofa seating lines both port and starboard sides with a wet bar in between for refreshments day or night.
The accommodation sleeps a maximum of 10 guests across five large and lavish en-suite cabins, including a Master suite placed on the main deck forward to enjoy a more voluminous full-beam interior. The crew accommodation sleeps up to seven, providing an excellent balance between service and privacy during extended stays on board.
As well as having a beautiful exterior appearance and ample indoor guest space, the BM004 is capable of a range of 3,000 nautical miles – perfect for cruising the Mediterranean during the summer charter season.
BM004 has yet to be named and follows on from M/Y OLI (HULL BM001), M/Y LOUI (HULL BM002) and M/Y BOTTI (HULL BM003), which was launched earlier this year. M/Y BM004 has an expected delivery date for Spring 2019.
