CBI Navi, Part of the Maiora Group, have announced the delivery of 40m/131ft explorer yacht STELLA DI MARE.
The vessel features naval architecture and exterior styling from Hydro Tec for a cohesive exterior appearance, and the interiors are the work of Fossati Design
Bureau. The Owner had previously commissioned and received a luxury yacht by Hydrotec and chose to be more involved in the process this time around for a more bespoke interior:
“Our intention was to create a connection between 3 generations of our Family, by giving the possibility to leave a personal touch onboard starting from the first generation of 75 years old to the third of 7 years old,” the Owner said. “To have a Yacht full of substance and real value, instead of fashion and appearance”.
To this end, there is an extensive wine cellar capable of holding up to 800 bottles as well as custom-made refrigerators and freezers for storing Italian ingredients and delicatessen for the grandfather. The Owner himself wanted a professional studio for extended periods of working while on board, and the youngest generation, no older than seven, has a space all to themselves custom designed with comics and cartoon drawings.
In the shared guests spaces such as the main salon the decor creates timeless elegance using walnut, wenge, cherry wood, black lacquered wood, leather in matching tones as well as brushed bronze around the glass and mirrors. The main deck and upper deck salons are further personalised using old print and modern art pieces to complement the post-modern architecture.
Outside, there are three large deck areas to the aft for casual lounging and alfresco dining, with additional room available on the bow. The sundeck can be shaded or sun exposed due to a retractable hard top, and the crow’s nest is the place to go for 360° observation during such events as the Monaco Grand Prix. The sundeck also provides free-standing sunpads, a shaded gym and a barbeque and fridge for alfresco dining to make it the most well-fitted outdoor area to spend the whole day in comfort.
Although the interior and exterior guest areas have received a great deal of attention, so too has the technological engineering aboard M/Y STELLA DI MARE: A round bilge, bulbous bow and flat aft sections produce a classic appearance which also serves to keep the deck dry in stormy seas. The beam-to-draft- ratio was also taken into consideration to ensure that the propellers remained at high efficiency while guests received the best possible space while lounging indoors or outside sunbathing.
Twin Caterpillar C32 engines rated at 746 kW at 1600 rpm produce a top speed of 14.5 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots. Drawing on a 75,000 litre fuel capacity, luxury yacht STELLA DI MARE has an excellent range for exploring the uninhabited regions of the world.
M/Y STELLA DI MARE is currently cruising and will be available to view at the Monaco Yacht Show 2018 running from the 26th-29th of September.
