Six months following the announcement that Taiwanese shipyard Horizon Yachts had begun construction on the first FD102 luxury yacht, the second FD102 hull has been signed and sold.
Measuring a total of 32.75m/107ft, the second FD102 hull will be built to the Skyline version and have a Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) in addition to extensive customisation, which was an integral part of the contract with the American Owner, who has previously owned a motor yacht also penned by Cor D. Rover.
The FD102 Skyline version has an enclosed bridge deck that places the dining area on the bridge along with a wet bar. The upper deck aft has room for an alfresco dining table as well as sun loungers along the stern, while the foredeck stores the tenders and motorised water toys with a Davit crane for launch and retrieval.
The main deck has a spacious lounge that leads out to the main deck aft cockpit, where three sofas and two armchairs surround a large coffee table, while a wet bar is well-placed to serve guests inside and out.
The second hull is due for completion in April 2020 and will accommodate 10 guests over five en-suite cabins, which will include a full-beam main deck Master suite, plus a VIP stateroom, two double cabins and one twin cabin on the lower deck. The crew of four will ensure that there is an excellent balance between professional yet discreet service so that the Owners can focus on quality time with family and friends.
