The Monaco Yacht Show is running this September from the 25th-28th at Port Hercules, and this year’s display boasts more than 125 luxury yachts with an average length around 50m/164ft as well as 42 vessels that are new launches making their worldwide public debut.
The largest vessel on display this year is a mega yacht of 107m/351ft – a far cry from its beginnings in 1991, when the display consisted of 32 luxury yachts around 31m/102ft in length. Amongst the latest launches from international yacht builders, the following are some of the most attention-grabbing designs for their appearance, amenities and engineering to look out for at the event.
MADSUMMER – Lurssen – 95m/312ft
Motor yacht MADSUMMER (ex.PROJECT FIJI, PROJECT MAUI) is just five metres short of being called a mega yacht, however her interior luxury is certainly above and beyond what most will have available on board for a Mediterranean yacht charter: Studio Laura Sessa chose a scheme in-keeping with the colours of the coast to create a calm and bright interiors, from the upper deck down to the beach club where there is an adjoining spa with a fold-down terrace.
Outside, guests have an abundance of sunbathing and alfresco dining choices along with a swimming pool on the main deck aft that is sheltered by glass bulwarks. There is also a walk-able skylight on the upper deck aft and a fire pit for keeping the conversation outdoors under the stars long into the night.
LADY S – Feadship – 93m/305.11ft
With exterior styling by Michael Leach and interiors from Reymond Langton Design, superyacht LADY S (ex.PROJECT 814) has a glass-bottomed swimming pool, a basketball court and gym to keep themselves fit while away from port. Relaxation is just as important and guests have a spa centre offering a sauna and steam room in addition to the Duplex IMAX cinema.
ARTEFACT – Nobiskrug – 80m/262.5ft
Few details have yet been revealed about superyacht ARTEFACT (ex.PROJECT 790) from Nobiskrug, other than she features in the interior and exterior styling of Reymond Langton Design and Gregory C. Marshall respectively and is one of the first luxury yachts built to the new environmental IMO Tier III emissions regulations.
Cutting-edge additions also include a Dynamic Positioning System (DPS) that allows M/Y ARTEFACT to hold position without dropping anchor in environmentally sensitive regions, and solar panels are used to charge the battery systems for less reliance on fuels.
BOLD – Silver Yachts – 85m/278.10ft
From Australian shipbuilder Silver Yachts comes superyacht BOLD, designed by critically-acclaimed Espen Oeino along with the in-house team.
As well as environmentally friendly credentials, M/Y BOLD has a helipad and an impressive top speed of 28 knots for her size, plus a trans-Atlantic range of 5,000 nautical miles cruising at 18 knots.

The onboard features include a sundeck counter-current swimming pool with a hydro-massage area separated by a waterfall, a beach club that has fold-down side-terraces and a private Owner’s deck with its own en-suite bedroom.
EXCELLENCE – Abeking & Rasmussen – 80m/262.5ft

Other onboard features include a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and beach club, all benefiting from the interior and exterior styling of Winch Design.

SYZYGY 818 – Feadship – 77.3m/253.5ft
Motor yacht SYZYGY 818 will be accompanying luxury yacht LADY S to the Monaco Yacht Show from the Feadship yard, and although she may not be as commanding in size, 77 metres is nothing to ignore. De Voogt Naval Architects, Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design and Jarkko Jamsen – Aivan worked on her naval architecture, interior styling and exteriors respectively, all leading to another exceptional high-quality build.
Classic elements are blended with modern styling such as her plumb bow to create an iconic design that will become a comfortable home on the water for her cruising Owners.
ATTILA – Sanlorenzo – 64m/210.8ft
This 2019 launch became the flagship of the Sanlorenzo yard and luxury yacht ATTILA is worthy of this prestigious title – onboard amenities include a spacious beach club with a massage room, sauna and hammam, a gym, swimming pool, touch-n-go helipad, a sundeck Jacuzzi and a whirlpool tub off the Master suite.

Guests arriving by tender can rest in the beach club the moment they get on board, and the sundeck skylounge has a bar and plenty of plush seating to watch the sunset in style.

For those who find it hard to get away from work or want to extend their time in the sunshine, there is a private office attached to the Master suite. After a day relishing the water toys collection along pristine shores, the group can treat aching muscles in the beach club spa massage room, or cool off in the sundeck swimming pool.
