Dutch design studio Vripack and German shipyard Nobiskrug have come together to create a new 56m/183.7ft hybrid superyacht concept re-imagining design layout on board.

Designed with a Middle Eastern or Asian Owner in mind, the unconventional styling uses an asymmetrical layout that reveals itself before even stepping on board: The staircase leading from the lower deck swim platform up to the main deck aft starts broad and then narrows to the port side. The swim platform itself has a chaise-lounger to port beside the water for making the most of this cool and tranquil space beside the sea.

The asymmetrical appearance continues on the upper deck aft with a tapering raise whirlpool to port and an abundance of sunbathing, lounging and dining space beneath the mesh hardtop.

The exposed sundeck is beautifully laid out with a forward sunbed, within which there is a port Jacuzzi. The aft alfresco lounge is placed around a fire pit with an open roof for sunshine during the daytime and starry views after dark.

The superstructure walls are made entirely of glass, as are the balustrades, to reduce the barriers between the interior living spaces and the outdoor environment. Meanwhile inside, the tender garage is placed in the bow and folding bulwarks allow for easy launch and retrieval. As a result, there is direct access from the stern to the four double guest cabins to port and a gym to starboard.

The hybrid yacht ha a technically innovative propulsion system that was specifically designed for the concept: Typically, large electric motors push the design skywards, however, the 56m hybrid concept instead opts for a wide and flat ‘pancake’ design.
