The highly trained team of chefs, which includes Michelin-trained chef Toine Smulders, can cater to any request and create favourite dishes and delectable treats at a moment’s notice for the 26 charter guests.

Smulders began his culinary career working at a restaurant specialising in French cuisine but has travelled to France, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland by land and aboard a luxury yacht to sample each country’s culinary wonders. He took his first role as a luxury yacht chef aboard sailing yacht DARDANELLA, after which he spent years cruising the seas aboard classic Feadship sailing yacht IDUNA.

In 2018 he was up for a new challenge and new surroundings and approached SHERAKHAN’s Owner Jan Verkerk through a mutual contact to become a chef aboard the famous motor yacht.
Fresh seafood
Without the budgeting concerns found in most restaurants, Smulders finds his favourite aspect of being a luxury yacht chef is the freedom to create and astound guests:
“We can cook Dutch frikandel, Saudi Arabian kabsa or South African lemon pie; you name it, we can make it!”
Cocktail food ready for guests
M/Y SHERAKHAN has already earned a stellar reputation for herself from years on the charter market and an Owner invested in keeping her up-to-date and looking her best. Last refitted in 2017, she received a new appearance to her two-tier formal dining room and main salon, where up to 22 guests can savour the freshest ingredients every day of their charter. The lounge provides a grand piano for live entertainment while guests enjoy cocktails from the bar, and there is a library for quiet evenings. The spa massage room also has a sauna and an indoor Jacuzzi can be found in the fully-equipped gym.
Exceptional service offered by the professional crew
Up, on the sundeck is an 18-person glass-bottomed spa pool, and the surrounding sun loungers and dining setup make this area a desirable hub for outdoor gatherings, whether visiting the far-flung islands of the Grenadines or joining the social calendar in St. Barths or the BVIs in the New Year.
