The hull for the S/Y 42m GTS, the second luxury sailing yacht in the E-volution Gallery series, has completed its journey from the Perini Navi shipyard in Tulza, Turkey to begin outfitting in Viareggio.
The second sailing yacht in the series has a sloop rig and is built from lightweight aluminium and carbon fibre to improve performance for her regatta-focused Owner, and uses the same platform as the first 42m E-volution sailing yacht. Perini Navi produces the concept and styling, while Reichel/Pugh Yacht Design produced her naval architecture. The exterior styling from Perini Navi’s Style & Design Director Franco Romani features a large stern deck area and a sleeker profile for a more athletic look.
For weight efficiency onboard, the deckhouse and various external structures are made from carbon fibre. The propulsion has also been optimised for excellent performance journeying between destinations, and the stability the hull offers ensures excellent stability and comfort.
The design features a Panamax mast of 62.5m/205ft, a square-top mainsail and a 4m/13ft bowsprit to enhance the power of her 1,250m2/13454.9ft2 sail area, and the keel has a maximum draft of 7.4m/24ft.
The interiors will be the work of GCA of Barcelona, with details on the styling yet to be revealed.
Delivery for the S/Y 42m GTS is expected in the spring of 2021, and in the meantime, Perini Navi is working on six other hulls, four of which are sailing yachts and two of which are motor yachts.
