Liverpool Boat Show 2011 is set to be a ‘Show like no other’ running from 29th April – 8th May in the historic surroundings of Liverpool’s Albert Dock. Set in the midst of a World Heritage Site the Show boasts one of the most architecturally stunning waterfronts in the world within walking distance from the heart of the city, now a top five UK tourist destination and home to world class art galleries with museums, shops, restaurants and bars.
400,000 visitors are expected to flow through the Show guaranteed to enjoy a mixed experience of nautical novelties and cultural uplift through live music and comedy festivals. For boating families there are plenty of interactive opportunities with ‘have-a-go’ experiences, practical workshops and demonstrations as well as open access to feature boats and land-based exhibitors including the largest names of the power and sail boat world.
For those keen to get afloat the River Mersey will be hosting two regattas dove tailing with the Show and an on-site Aquatheatre brings water sports action straight to you with wake boarding displays, dinghy match racing and boat football.
The Liverpool Boat Show 2011 will be the first of what promises to be one of the most spectacular events of its kind – not just in the UK but in the whole of Europe.
