Taiwanese shipyard Horizon Yachts has debuted of the first hull in the Fast Displacement Series, luxury yacht FD102, at the 2020 Horizon Open House running from the 14th to the 16th of January in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Horizon FD102
The exterior layout places a bar and alfresco dining area for 10 on the main deck aft, the table styled with a textured grey glass top. The FD102 is configured in the enclosed bridge Skyline version and comes with a port-side skylounge bar and seating area with adjustable table. The forward pilothouse can be close off to enhance privacy. The foredeck provides an alternative alfresco lounging and dining space exposed to the sunshine, where the bow sunpads and Jacuzzi will surely be a tempting feature.
Horizon FD102 – sunbathing area
Measuring 33m/108.6ft, the first FD102 motor yacht was built within 12 months and is classed for charter. The Owners worked closely with the shipyard in-house design team to select the high quality finishes: Wenge is used throughout accompanied by light tone Cambria stonework and Boen Oak Cordoba flooring on the main deck.
The 7.7m/25.2ft beam creates spacious lounges and guest accommodation for up to 10 guests over five en-suite staterooms, with the Master suite on the main deck forward and on the lower deck two mirror-layout queen staterooms, a queen stateroom in the bow and a convertible twin cabin. The latter two cabins share access to a port-side seam shower/sauna. The crew of six are accommodated in three cabins on the lower deck in the stern, where there is also a crew mess.
Horizon FD102 – interior
The hull design increases cruising efficiency using a High Performance Piercing Bow and a pair of MTU engines producing 1,600 HP each produce a top speed of 15 knots and a range of 2,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
The first FD102 luxury yacht was Christened by her European Owners during a New Year’s celebration in the city, and the two other hulls so far sold in the series will be delivered in summer and early autumn 2020 respectively.
