In addition to her beautiful, flowing lines, the 80m Bilgin mega yacht TATIANA excelled during sea trials along the coastline of Istanbul, showcasing performance, seaworthiness and comfort while cruising. TATIANA, the largest yacht ever built by a Turkish shipyard to date, is currently getting ready for her delivery scheduled for this summer. During the first sea trials to test her twin MTU engines, she has delivered as expected, reaching over 19 knots of top speed with a smooth driving behaviour.
TATIANA is characterised by striking modern lines and luxurious interiors that predominantly use a contrasting combination of rich Macassar ebony, eucalyptus and a great amount of marble. She is the first of the brand-new 263 series by Bilgin with sleek and sexy lines and ultra-luxurious amenities on board.
The CEO of Bilgin Yachts and the Founder of Unique Yacht Design, Emrecan Özgün CEO tells about Tatiana: “With her design and comfort elements, the Bilgin 263 is truly one-of-a-kind. We created a very attractive yacht with a sleek and sexy profile while avoiding a high dosage of design clichés. The increase in living areas normally results in bulky designs. The Bilgin 263 has a design attitude that will dominate the yachting sector around the world. This will clearly make her a trendsetter among steel-aluminium superyachts of today.”
Modern and inviting interiors were created by H2 Design offering a glamorous setting and a welcoming ambience. Jonny Horsfield of H2 Design Ltd was personally in charge of the interior details, based on the owner’s very clear concept and vision, boasting a modern layout and spacious living areas, including a massive spa and beach club. Both interiors and the exterior areas are characterised by a rich, modern colour palette.
In addition to TATIANA, Bilgin is also building additional two Bilgin 263 series yachts, including the Bilgin 263-II hull that has already been sold and is to be launched in 2021 and a third one that will be delivered to her owner in 2022. The series is known for its eco-friendliness, with the vessels being fitted with a special exhaust system that provides 100% air emissions. She is powered by two 2,550kW engines, reaching the already mentioned top speed of 19+ knots while cruising at a comfortable speed of 12 knots, keeping her fuel consumption at 250litres per hour. She is constructed to IMO Tier III certification and is currently considered as the most environmentally friendly superyacht in her size.
The third hull of the series, Bilgin NB78 superyacht will feature a totally new layout and will be moved for outfitting to West Istanbul Marina, while the construction of the new 85m mega yacht Bilgin 280 is planned for May 2020 and delivery scheduled for 2023. In addition, there is an on spec project of a 74m superyacht Bilgin 220 which is due to be launched in 2022 while a 50m project is also in a planning stage and to be constructed with a launch in 2022. Both yachts are designed by Unique Yacht Design, with contemporary lines, vast interiors and great exterior areas.
