If you’re considering a large celebration or holiday in the popular Mediterranean yacht charter grounds, motor yacht ARIENCE could be exactly what you’re looking for.
She was previously called EXCELLENCE V and this 60.9m/99.11ft vessel certainly lives up to her old name, boasting exterior and interiors styling from Reymond Langton Design, and engineering by Abeking & Rasmussen that won her Best Power 40m – 65m at the International Superyacht Society Awards 2013.
The interiors
Reymond Langton Design went for timeless elegance to suit any occasion suing subtle art deco elements in the furniture and fittings. The grain of different kinds of wood is shown off to striking effect in both the private and shared areas, and consists of maple, fiddleback sycamore, stained anigre, Macassar ebony and golden burl. This beauty is incorporated into function as well as form, as seen in the spiral staircase encompassing a glass lift (elevator) that connects all the decks.
The main deck formal dining area seats all 12 guests around a grand oval table with lighting provided from the ceiling panel, spotlights and/or the wall sconces to create the right ambiance for any special occasion. Large windows run the length of the room for great views that change with the hours. Immediately behind the dining area is the main salon, ready for small social gatherings with its wet bar and lounge setting that flow through the glass sliding doors into the main deck aft.
Catch up on the day’s events and entertain in the skylounge, where the plush sofas create an inviting social space. Guests can challenge each other to cards at the games table or watch a film on the widescreen TV.
When guests want to take it easy after a long day in the sunshine, there are games consoles on board and a dark, cosy cinema on the lower deck fitted with top quality entertainment systems and plush chairs for guests to rest up with the latest blockbusters. A beach club close to the cinema provides an intimate environment for cocktails while resting in seats or on the sun loungers on the fold-down swim platform.
When guests feel the need to wear off excess energy before bedtime, there is a gym in the stern section that can be opened to the elements for workouts while watching the sunset or the moonlight glimmering off the waves.
If guests have been Scuba diving at depth then the sauna is the perfect way to warm up and rejuvenate. There’s also a spa centre with a fold-down swim platform where guests can have tired muscles taken care of after a day exploring the islands of Sardinia and Corsica or playing along the gorgeous white sand beaches.

The exteriors
The main deck aft is an ideal environment for small groups to savour life outdoor in the shade, taking in the luscious scenery of the French and Italian Rivieras.
The upper deck has larger sofas and a coffee table to rest drinks on from the wet bar, and if guests feel the need to take a nap after trying one too many amazing cocktails, there is a sunbed in the starboard aft corner.
The occupants of the Master suite have their own outdoor area on the foredeck, with two large sunbeds to choose from, a Jacuzzi and a sofa with a drink table in the shade.
Meanwhile, the bridge deck aft has its own wet bar and an impressive alfresco dining table to seat all 12 guests, and the seating and sunbed along the stern will tempt the group to rest and digest after a decadent meal.
The generous Jacuzzi is to be found up on the sundeck aft, with bar seating along its forward side and a broad sunbed to the aft to dry off in comfort. Forward, there is a small section for seating and sunbeds, and a couple of guests can enjoy the sunset in privacy on the bright red sofa with a drinks table for a nightcap.
The accommodation
There are seven cabins to sleep up to 12 guests: 1 Master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 3 double cabins and 1 twin cabin.
The guest cabins are placed on the main deck and the upper deck to ensure that everyone receives plenty of natural light and great views through larger windows.
The Master suite is placed on the upper deck forward and benefits from 180° views and a large skylight above the bed. Sofas furnished the space along with the king-sized bed and pop-up widescreen TV to give occupants plenty of entertainment options while unwinding in privacy. The his-and-hers en-suite bathrooms both provide walk-through wardrobes and a Jacuzzi bath. There is an office behind the Master suite and forward, the occupants have their own private alfresco lounge and Jacuzzi.
A double en-suite cabin is behind to port of the Master suite, finished in the same beautiful wood varieties and bearing art deco touches in the artwork, headboard and other accents within.
The rest of the guest cabins are spaced on the main deck forward and amidships, and the most notable of them all is the VIP stateroom, which treats its occupants to a larger en-suite bathroom and a walk-through wardrobe compared to the double cabins.
Whichever cabin guests are given, all rooms are furnished to the highest standards with plenty of space and entertainment options.
Glowing guest feedback
Previous guests aboard superyacht ARIENCE can attest not only to the quality of her surroundings, but the attention and dedication of the crew:
“…In a word, the trip was INCREDIBLE! The yacht itself was fantastic. We went to the yacht show in Monaco and boarded probably a dozen boats the same length as [ARIENCE] but none had the volume, layout or usability as ours. The top sun deck was the absolute best. No other yacht compared.
And the crew was fantastic. They didn’t know how to say no! Dusty was amenable to anything we wanted to do and the staff waited on us hand and foot. I didn’t fix one drink all week. They unpacked our cases and packed them back when we departed. They stayed up literally all night when the party wouldn’t stop! Samantha, chief steward, was the most accommodating person that has ever served me. I told her she always has a job working for me if she gets tired of the charter business!
“It is rare when a trip that is so hyped up and anticipated actually exceeds expectations, but this one did. Not a once in a lifetime trip for us. We are thinking about the next trip already!”
