As the Charter World is opening up and more locations are preparing to welcome luxury charter yachts back, St Barth and Grenada have now announced the re-opening of ports.

ST BARTHS
The island currently has no Covid-19 cases and most restaurants and businesses are open and operating normally. From the 18th of May St. Barths is receiving luxury yachts, however requests to enter its waters must come through an agent. The agent must provide the following information/confirmation and then await approval from the prefecture:
- Estimated date of arrival
- Certificate of registration
- Captain’s name and nationality, and the number of crew and any guests on board
- Confirmation that the captain commits to keep his crew and guests on board for quarantine
- Confirmation that the vessel will remain at anchor outside in the bay
- Confirmation that only the agent will handle administrative tasks such as provisioning and other requests with the Captain: The crew and guests will not be allowed ashore during the quarantine period.
- Quarantine time will be a strictly enforced 14 days on board.
GRENADA
The government has officially re-opened its ports to luxury yachts, however there are strict requirements and health protocols that need to be met by the Captain, crew and all those on board. These can be checked with the Marine and Yachting Association of Grenada (MAYAG).
In summary, all yachts must:
- Pre-register with MAYAG to enter Granada via the online platform Grenada LIMA (https://grenadalima.com/)
- Quarantine offshore for a period of 14 days before being allowed entry into approved boatyards and marinas.
- Once the quarantine period ends, the Ministry of Health will conduct all major testing aboard the yacht, which will be paid for by the crew.
- Customs and immigration will only issue formal clearance once the Ministry of Health have confirmed a negative result for Covid-19 through a formal laboratory result.
