Dutch shipyard Heesen has announced the successful delivery of luxury yacht AMARE II (previously known as hull YN 19150 and PROJECT ELECTRA) on the 19th of July.
The sea trials took place in the North Sea over three days, and the all-aluminium vessel reached a top speed of 17.2 knots in diesel mode to exceed her contractual speed by 0.9 knots. In silent mode, she cruises at 10.2 knots, with noise and vibrations within specified parameters.
Omega Architects produced her characteristic exterior lines while Van Oossanen Naval Architects created her Fast Displacement Hull Form in collaboration with the Heesen in-house team.
The Dutch shipyard’s in-house luxury cabinet maker company, Heesen Interiors, perfectly crafted the fine furniture penned by Italian designer Cristiano Gatto. Heesen Interiors created the cabinetry to a design by Cristiano Gatto, while the Owner chose Sabrina Monte-Carlo to complete the interior styling. Pastel colours are found throughout the contemporary furnishings and artwork that style each room, and Italian brands such as B&B Italia, Paola Lenti, Giorgetti, Porta Romana exude quality.
