Mega yacht REV Ocean from Norwegian shipyard Vard Brattvågearlier has begun two days of sea trials in the North Sea, where her safety and navigation systems and propulsion will be put through their paces.

REV Ocean

In February it was announced that the first cabin, ‘Cabin 3245’ had been completed on board. This cabin has been designed for use by scientists and crew, with a king-single bed, a desk, sofa and widescreen TV in addition to ample storage. At this time positions were advertised for 18 crew for her sea trials, with 40 more crew positions to be filled for full operation.

There are 56 crew cabins altogether, and this expedition yacht can sleep 28 guests in 18 en-suite cabins for extensive travels for research and adventure the world over. On completion of her sea trials she will cruise south to Germany to complete her refit at the Lloyd Werft shipyard. Once she is launched, she will become the world’s largest yacht at 182.9m/600ft. Mega yacht REV OCEAN will be available for charter following delivery to her Owner in 2021.
