Dutch shipyard Amels has announced that a new 120m/393.7ft mega yacht under the name PROJECT SIGNATURE has been signed onto its books, making it the largest luxury yacht ever to be built in the Netherlands.
M/Y PROJECT SIGNATURE was designed by Espen Oeino and is the second collaboration between his studio and the Amels shipyard. The design features sweeping curves and sharp angles to create a unique yet timeless appearance. She is the third fully-custom luxury yacht currently on the Amels books, with a 78m/255.9ft vessel due for delivery in 2021.
Power will come from diesel-electric engines and Azipod propulsion, with top speed, cruising speed and range yet to be revealed by the shipyard. Noise and vibrations will be kept to a minimum thanks to cutting-edge engineering and technology.
Once launched, luxury yacht PROJECT SIGNATURE will become the new Amels flagship, replacing 83m/272ft HERE COMES THE SUN from 2017.
