Feadship luxury yacht SOMNIUM, known as PROJECT 704 during construction, is preparing for her finishing touches before heading off on sea trials.
Meaning ‘dream’ in Latin, M/Y SOMNIUM is the first fully-custom superyacht for her Northern European Owner and represents an adventurous haven for three generations of the same family, who will use her to visit destinations the world over.
Studio De Voogt designed the exterior styling and naval architecture, while FM Architettura produced warm and inviting interiors. As the Owner is a fan of sports cars, these design elements have been incorporated into the appearance of the luxury yacht SOMNIUM: A smooth outward aluminium hull and superstructure with plenty of attention-grabbing curves. More than just looks, her lightweight draft grants access to shallow waterways to explore further using the tender or the Scuba equipment in the dive centre on board.
There are plenty of alfresco living areas on board 55m/180ft for making the most of the fine weather and fantastic views: The foredeck has an exclusive lounge area, the aft deck a pool with adjustable floor and counter-flow, and the sundeck a Jacuzzi.
Details on the interior are expected after she makes her official public debut, however, it is known that there is a gymnasium with a fold-down platform, plus a full-beam Owner’s suite with a fold-down terrace and four large guest suites on the lower deck.
