Lurssen shipyard has announced the launch of the 55.5m motor yacht Project 13800 designed by Bannenberg & Rowell, taking inspiration from the 1973 Carinthia VI.
Although she is the smallest yacht built at the Lurssen shipyard since 1995, she will feature an amazing interior with bespoke museum-quality furniture and elegant design. She has been kept under a shroud of secrecy since the announcement of her build and we all look forward to finding out more about her once delivered to her proud owner.
Dickie Bannenberg commented regarding the launch: ”We are excited to see 13800 emerge from her shed. The initial concept was influenced by our studies based on the classic yacht Carinthia VI, designed by Bannenberg Snr, and built by Lürssen in 1973. Every centimetre of interior and exterior space usage has to be presented, discussed and agreed with the owners, and this has led to many inspiring discussions. We really look forward to seeing her completed over the coming months, including a spectacular interior.”
