As the Coronavirus pandemic has left us all longing for more freedom and a return to a somewhat normal life, the tourism industry is starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel! With Europe preparing for the upcoming summer season, Croatia has announced that it is welcoming holidaymakers from the world over back to its shores this summer yacht charter season, with other EU countries, such as Italy following on.

To qualify visitors need to prove that they meet one of five criteria:
- A negative PCR or antigen test taken 48 hours before arrival at the border
- A vaccination certificate showing that the final dose was taken more than 14 days before the entry to Croatia
- Proof of recovery from Covid more than 11 days prior to arrival and not more than 180 days before
- Proof of recovery and the first dose of vaccination more than 11 days and less than 5 months before, or
- Quarantine for 10 days or pay for a test upon arrival, remaining in isolation until a negative result is confirmed
Visitors from outside the EU must also have accommodation waiting for the length of their stay, whether this is a hotel, campsite or luxury yacht. The rest of the EU is expected to announce similar plans ahead of the summer holiday season.
