Admiral Yachts, part of the Italian Sea Group, has launched its 75m/246ft flagship vessel, luxury yacht KENSHŌ, at the shipyard on Wednesday the 17th of November.
Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, M/Y KENSHŌ replaces the previous Admiral flagship PLANET NINE by 1.8m/5.11ft. Azure Yacht Design and Naval Architecture produced the naval architecture and exterior and interior styling for motor yacht KENSHŌ, which features a generous beach club swimming pool and a forward living area on the upper deck where the wheelhouse is traditionally located.
Natural materials form serene and harmonious social areas throughout by using the same wood types in the furniture as the surrounding wooden panelling, while flecked white furnishings are complemented by matching shades and varied textures in the ceiling, carpet and blinds. The floor-to-ceiling windows create a greater connection to the sea, and after dark the golden glow of recessed lights sets the scene for cosy conversations and film nights. Through the main salon, guests have access to the alfresco dining area on the bow of the main deck.
The accommodation sleeps a total of 16 guests over 8 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite with a full beam of 13m/42.8ft and 7 further guest cabins. The professional crew of 20 will be accommodated over 12 cabins.
M/Y KENSHŌ is powered by a diesel-electric propulsion system that produces a maximum speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots with a transatlantic range of 4,350 nautical miles.
She will now undergo sea trials ahead of her delivery in 2022 before she becomes available to charter during the summer cruising season.
