New Caledonia has announced that it has lifted its quarantine and double-vaccinated visitors with any necessary boosters no longer have to isolate for 7 days upon arrival, making the archipelago another viable South Pacific luxury yacht charter destination in 2022.
To be eligible to enter the country, vaccinated visitors 12 years and over must:
- Present proof of vaccination at check-in
- Present a negative test result from a PRC test at check-in no older than 72 hours from initial departure, or;
- Present a negative test result from a RAT test at check-in no older than 48 hours from initial departure
- Complete a declaration on Honour, and
- Take a RAT test 48 hours after arrival. RAT tests can be done for free at pharmacies.
To be eligible to enter the country, non-vaccinated visitors 12 years and over must:
- Present a compelling reason for travel to the destination (personal, family or health reason)
- Present a check-in a PCR or RAT test. PCR tests must be no older than 72 hours from initial departure, and RAT tests no older than 48 hours from initial departure
- Take a RAT test 48 hours after the arrival. RAT tests can be completed at pharmacies for free
- Spend a week in isolation, and;
- Complete a Declaration on Honour on the 7th day of isolation.
