Alia Yachts has successfully delivered its 55m/180.5ft luxury yacht AL WAAB, the world’s longest steel and aluminium yacht under 500 GT.
In comparison to other luxury yachts on the market in the same sized category, M/Y AL WAAB offers 42% more external space and 8% more interior space. Designed for family living in comfort and ease, her naval architecture and exterior styling comes from Vripack, and virtual reality was used early in the project to create an ergonomic open-plan layout.
Notable features include a generous beach club, massive storage for tenders and motorised water toys in the bow, and a fold-down terrace off the dining area. The lavish interior design features floor-to-ceiling windows with the light diffused by matte-finish bamboo slats on the ceiling. In the stairwell, guests and visitors are greeted by a gold illuminated wall installation integrated with crystals, and spanning all three decks.
The accommodation sleeps up to 12 guests over 6 en-suite cabins, including a split-level Master suite on the upper deck which has its own 4m/13ft pool on the foredeck.
The twin Caterpillar engines burn 35% less fuel than yachts of a similar size, and she is capable of a top speed of 12.5 knots.
Alia Yachts is now constructing a 60m/196.10ft luxury yacht which Vripack has also had a hand in bringing to life.
