Luxury yacht PROJECT SERENA (YN 20555), the first hull in the restyled 55m/180.5ft Steel Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) model from Heesen, has been sold.
The client is an experienced yachtsman who took to her strong and athletic exterior styling from Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, a volume of 760 GT and a proven design platform with reliable performance.
Compared to previous 55-metre models, M/Y PROJECT SERENA has far more floor-to-ceiling glass, without mullions, in the main salon and sky lounge. The Owner’s suite has a balcony on the main deck forward, and the extended sundeck offers even more space for entertaining.
Luca Dini Design & Architecture have worked with Omega Naval Architects and Heesen to augment the interior layout, bringing the Owner’s lifestyle and character to the bright open areas connected to the natural world.
The FDHF from Van Oossanen Naval Architects delivers excellent fuel efficiency and stability in rough seas. The twin MTU 8V 4000 M63 IMO Tier III engines of 1,000 kW each will provide a maximum speed of 15.5 knots, and a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.
M/Y PROJECT SERENA will be delivered in Autumn 2024, in time for the festive season in the Caribbean and Bahamas.
