At the 31st edition of the Monaco Yacht Show, Italian shipyard Benetti showcased its upcoming plans and designs at a press conference held within the prestigious Hermitage Hotel in Monte Carlo, where the 85m/278.10ft luxury yacht PROJECT ORO was announced.
Motor yacht PROJECT ORO is the result of thorough conversations with clients desiring a luxury yacht over 80m/262.5ft in length. This will bridge the gap between the ‘gigayacht series’ of luxury yachts launched in recent years, which are over 100m/328ft in length, and its vessels under the 80-metre mark.
PROJECT ORO will feature an exterior design by Giorgio M. Cassetta that has an abundance of alfresco living spaces further extended by fold-down terraces. Among the flowing interior layouts is a cavernous beach club, where the fold-down sides further extend the space for relaxation by the water. High above, the 399.4m²/4,300ft² sundeck has plush seating for alfresco dining and lounging in the sunshine or shade, while a more intimate environment can be found on the foredeck along with panoramic views. The stern comes with a transverse swimming pool, so guests can take a dip in the evenings or while at port.
Hybrid propulsion would allow PROJECT ORO to reduce her environmental impact as she awes in the world’s greatest charter grounds.
The conference also premiered the B.NOW 50M luxury yacht IRYNA, the new B.NOW 60M and the B.CENTURY series, which has been influenced by recent successful launches and technological innovations to make every model future-ready.
Benetti expects to launch 23 new yachts over the course of the next 12 months, showing that its Italian style is more desirable than ever.
