It has been announced by MCP yachts that the first 40.7m (133’6″) superyacht MCP134 is under construction in Brazil, South America. She presents with an explorer yacht profile designed in collaboration with naval architect Vripack.
“Creating maximum space on a 40-metre yacht required a creative approach to space planning”, explained Bart Bouwhuis, creative director at Vripack. “A very energetic co-creation process between the Owner, MCP and our team led to a perfectly sensible yet highly unconventional layout.”
While interior details have yet to be revealed, they will be penned by Leonardo Rotsen and will include oversized windows and a balance of classic and modern features. Her seven staterooms include an owner’s suite located forward on the upper deck with a private observation terrace, two VIP staterooms on the lower deck and two double suites and two twins on the main deck.
She is powered by Caterpillar C32 engines, which deliver a top speed of 19 knots, with a cruising range of 3,500 nautical miles.
Superyacht MCP134 is due for delivery in April 2024.
