CRN have announced that the build of 70m (230′) mega yacht PROJECT THUNDERBALL (CRN 145) is underway at their Ancona facility. She is a unique and handcrafted superyacht and represents a collaboration between the CRN shipyard, naval architect Vripack and an interior design team from Nauta Design.
She has a traditional, elongated bow and a low profile to create a classic and timeless line with a striking sense of style to fully reflects her owner’s vision. Her interior design is a combination of heritage blended with a refined contemporary look, brought to life by teams of highly skilled craftsmanship.
Superyacht PROJECT THUNDERBALL (CRN 145) spans five decks with a beam of 11m (36’1”) and gross tonnage of 1,100 and will accommodate up to 12 guests and 15 crew members. The shipyard’s commitment to sustainability is demonstrated with the use of a peak shaving system to increase energy efficiency and cut fuel consumption.
The owner is believed to be a passionate sailor and has therefore also requested a smaller sailboat to accompany the mother yacht as they cruise the Mediterranean and the waters between Florida and the Bahamas. She makes the perfect base for diving, sailing and underwater fishing in these beautiful destinations. It is not yet known if she will be available for charter on her completion, CRN has built many mega and superyachts that can be chartered in popular yacht charter region around the world.
