Damen Yachting have proudly announced that superyacht MARSA, the last of the Amels 200 in build, has set off from the shipyard in the Netherlands before embarking on her private maiden voyage with her owner.
The 60m (197’) Amels Limited Edition is the third hull in the iconic Amels 200 series designed by Tim Heywood. Her Whisper Grey hull is echoed in the exterior curves and arches and the yacht stands our further for her high volume which can comfortably accommodate twelve guests. Highlights include a four-deck elevator, air-conditioned gym and full-height windows in the owner’s suite. The owner requested customisations which include hybrid electric power and interiors by Winch Design.
Tom Oomkens, Project Manager at Damen Yachting, proudly commented on the yacht, “It was so rewarding to see the Owners on board for the christening and blessing ceremony and enjoy that their unique vision became reality. These results would never have been achieved if we hadn’t had a super well-oiled team and a lot of craftsmanship on board.”
Damen Yachting Commercial Director Rob Luijendijk was also present at the private Christening of the yacht at the Damen Yachting Shipyard in Vlissingen City, and had this to say, “We are very proud to have handed MARSA over to her Owner. We have very much enjoyed the build journey with this Owner and their team, and it has been an honour to have been entrusted with turning their vision of yachting into reality. The entire team at Damen Yachting wishes MARSA, her Owner and crew fair winds and following seas.”
We hope to one day see superyacht MARSA on the charter market but in the meantime, Amels are a highly successful Damen Yachting brand with many luxury yachts currently available for charter – take a look at our listings for more information.
