Motor yacht Sapphire built by the German superyacht builder Nobiskrug has successfully completed her sea trials. The 73.55 m (242 ft) superyacht Sapphire (hull number 781) features interior and exterior design by Newcruise Yacht Projects of Hamburg with build management by Kristal Walters.
Superyacht Sapphire has expansive decks offering generous entertaining and relaxation areas, and features a large Spa Pool and bar forward and a raised sunbathing area aft. Steps curve down either side of the superyacht Sapphire to a large aft swim platform that is ideal for sunbathing or water sports.
M/Y Sapphire offers several contemporary living areas for guests to enjoy including a spacious skylounge and cinema, main salon and dining room. She is able to accommodate 12 guests in six lavish staterooms.
Special features onboard Sapphire includes a touch and go helipad on the aft deck, and a round and hydraulically retractable helipad and an elevator. Sapphire yacht is built in steel and aluminium, with a beam of 12.5 m and boasts zero speed stabilizers. The yacht is powered by twin 2,360hp MTU engines enabling her to reach a maximum speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots with a range of around 5,000 nautical miles.
It is expected the yacht Sapphire will be delivered to her owner by March 2011.
Luxury yacht Sapphire is the sister ship to superyacht SIREN launched by Nobiskrug in 2008.
