Michela Reverberi is an Italian interior designer, well known for many stylish and luxurious superyacht interiors including the interior of the recently launched Heesen motor yacht Quinta Essentia.
Motor Yacht Quinta Essentia is a newest semi-displacement superyacht from Heesen’s shipyard in Holland measuring 55 metres and featuring naval architecture by Van Oossanen in collaboration with Heesen Yachts in-house designers. Her beautiful exterior design is by Frank Laupman of Omega and Dobroserdov Design are responsible for the colour scheme featuring a combination of a custom metallic dark red Awlgrip paint that is combined with oyster white.
The yacht’s interior was originally created by Ken Freivokh and further developed by Michela Reverberi, who was also in charge of the interior decoration and styling.
As mentioned by Sergei Dobroserdov of Nakhimov, who are also responsible for the management of the yacht: “Ken was asked to create a futuristic interior in the minimalist style and while this resulted in an extremely attractive and conceptual design, the owners felt that the modern style was too stark. For this reason the owners introduced the Italian designer, Michela Reverberi to the Quinta Essentia project with a brief to make the atmosphere more intimate. Although the general arrangement and some major details by Freivokh remain (to name just a few the signature bedside tables and the striking atrium and its staircase), Michela created a completely new interior style incorporating the colour palette and atmosphere that met the owners’ taste and wishes.”
Quinta Essentia turned out to be an interesting challenge for Michela Reverberi, as she was presented with a partially developed design, which might have influenced the flow of her personal style and creativity.
“I am very pleased with the result of this creative effort that is the perfect synthesis of the owners’ culture, their roots and background and my personal taste and design style. The inspiration for my work was ‘Quinta Essentia’ – the fifth element – which is the highest synthesis of the four elements. These four elements – Earth, Water, Air and Fire – are represented in the four guests’ cabins, while the owners’ suite synthesizes them all. The theme is integrated in the design thanks to details, colors, patterns which are displayed against an absolute and pure white background. Their presence is subtle and discrete. For the owners’ stateroom I chose the colour silver, which reflects all the other elements, and therefore encompasses them all.” explained Michela Reverberi at the launch in March 2011.
Michela kindly provided us with additional renderings of her works, including the Hakvoort built 39 metre luxury motor yacht Snow Bird (ex Pretty Woman), which was launched in 2010. The renderings show Pretty Woman’s Main Salon and the Owner’s Cabin design proposals.
The renderings below shows the stunning luxury interior design proposal for the 70 metre super yacht Nomad constructed at the Oceanfast (Austal) shipyard.
