Sailing Yacht SANS by Adam Voorhees is a 19m high performance, lightweight yacht designed for shorthanded sailing without sacrificing luxury; reflecting the core Adam Voorhees Design philosophies.
The brief for yacht SANS started as a major refit project for a well known racing yacht on the west coast of the States. Much attention has been paid to reduce unnecessary weight while retaining the large sail plan and performance of the core boat.
Sans yacht features three separate cabins and ensuite heads within the carbon hull. Extensive use of opening polycarbonate panels along the coach roof ensures bright and airy spaces. Hydraulics control all sail handling, the hidden anchor system, and a folding stern beach concealing the tender storage.
Adam Voorhees’ High Performance Sloop SANS will be constructed of Prepreg Carbon and will measure 19m / 62.5ft with a beam of 5m / 16ft and a Draft of 3.5m / 11.5ft. The SANS yacht will have an upwind Sail Area of 230sqm / 2500sqft and a Sail Area Downwind of418sqm / 4500sqft.
