Horizon has announced it will attend the Hainan Rendezvous, the ultimate luxury lifestyle show in Chinese Riviera-Hainan, held from 1-4 April 2011. It will be the first time Horizon has attended this high-end event and they will showcase their EP105 motor yacht, a 105 foot long-range luxury superyacht.

The Horizon EP105 yacht will be the largest superyacht attending the Hainan Rendezvous. Designed by Gregory C Marshall, the oceangoing, full-displacement hull utilized SCRIMP technology, a vacuum-infusion process which is known for its low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions, and featured with a bulbous bow in order to maximize fuel efficiency.
Horizon EP105 motor yacht is powered by twin 600-horsepower Caterpillar C-18A diesels and got an impressively low fuel consumption rate and a range of about 3,500 miles at around 9 knots, while at the same time providing a respectable top speed of just under 13 knots and a comfortable cruise of 12 knots. The engines are configured with underwater exhausts so they won’t emit smoke and fumes at the dock. Sound insulation is optimized throughout the yacht. Thanks to the compact engines, a long, heavy keel, and tall superstructure, the Horizon EP105 is extremely maneuverable.
The large main salon is well laid out for entertaining and incorporates a large bar that is open to the galley. If privacy is desired, the crew can close off the service area with sliding panels. Innovative touch screens also let guests signal the crew as to where they shouldn’t intrude. The L-shaped galley has the only gas range that always has been seen in a megayacht; the fuel is stored up on the flying bridge per MCA rules. A long corridor fitted with sufficient counter space for meal-prep leads to the formal dining room where has a round side window that gives guests a great view. The dining area can also be used as a functional conference space, and is fitted with a large screen that drops down to cover the window.

The full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck is an innovative oasis. The stateroom has two round windows to bring in the light. The master head, forward, encompasses a tub and walk-in closet. It also has a private exit to the foredeck, which is reserved for the owner’s use.
