Feadship Koninklijke De Vries launched and christened the 81m Motor Yacht AIR at their Aalsmeer shipyard in Holland on Saturday the 26th of March 2011. Superyacht AIR measures a colossal 81 meters (265.7 feet) and is the largest yacht ever to be built at the yard.
Motor yacht AIR was built by Feadship at Koninklijke de Vries Scheepbouw and features Naval Architecture by De Voogt, engineering design by De Vries and De Voogt and boasts a luxurious and modern interior created by Remi Tessier Design.
The impressive yacht AIR was built with a steel hull and with an aluminium superstructure. Her interior is very spacious, thanks to her 81 meter length and beam of 11.6 meters. The AIR yacht is able to accommodate up to 12 guests in 7 generous staterooms with ensuite facilities including a remarkable split level owner’s suite, two guest cabins on the upper deck, one on the main deck and three on the lower deck.
Yacht AIR’s interior is harmonious and inspiring with clean lines, combined with some impressive artwork which enhances the yachts lovely interior ambience.The communal areas such as saloon and dining room flow naturally outside thanks to large windows and open doorways that lead to equally generous outdoor entertainment areas on aft and sundeck.
M/Y AIR has a fully certified heli pad which can, should a client require, be used for commercially operated aircraft. Other notable features include an elevator to all decks, a sundeck pool, a well-equipped sundeck gym, plus massage & steam rooms.
Feadship’s AIR is an important superyacht that was built in full compliance with the large yacht commercial code (MCA) and to Lloyds Register class.
The Feadship superyacht AIR will be cruising the Mediterranean and Europe in the summer of 2011 and available for charter at the rate of EUR 750,000 + expenses per week.
