BWA Yachting, global leader in marine agency and concierge services to the superyacht industry, and MB’92, the largest shipyard in the Mediterranean specialising in the refit and repair of superyachts and megayachts, have signed a preferred partnership agreement, formalising the terms of a long standing relationship of cooperation and mutual support the two groups have shared for the past 10 years.
With this agreement, BWA will offer full agency services to vessels within MB’92 from their office, conveniently located in the shipyard. The shipyard has recently doubled the size of its facilities from 36,000 m2 to 76,000 m2 after 19 years dedicated to the refit industry. BWA will handle the captain and crew needs, including clearances and formalities, provisioning (galley & beverages, spares and deck products), fuel, cash to master and interior department needs (fine linens, uniforms). In addition, it will offer a full VIP concierge service, providing the opportunity for captains and crew to focus their time and energy on their projects within the MB’92 facility.
Edward Pegan, Commercial Manager of BWA Yachting comments, “This new partnership in Spain is in recognition of the outstanding success of MB’92, now the point of reference for super/megayachts evaluating refit facilities in the Med. BWA has long recognized the strong potential of the super yacht industry in Spain and MB’92’s unique first class services. Our long standing relationship with the shipyard and their clients, made it logical for us to formalize our partnership in order to jointly support the growth of the industry in Spain.”
Henk Dreijer, Commercial Director of MB’92 comments, “BWA and MB’92 have been working together for the past 10 years and we are glad that we both acknowledge the importance to transform a long term close cooperation into a preferred relationship agreement which will benefit our clients and will strengthen our positions in the industry.”
