TMX Show Productions, producers of Boat Asia, today announced plans for Asia’s largest and longest running boat show to return to the breath-taking Marina at Keppel Bay from 12 -15 April 2012. Since it moved to Marina at Keppel Bay in 2007, Boat Asia has become a driver for the marine industry in Singapore and the region as well as positioned itself as a unique marketplace for businesses to showcase their products and services to the regional and global marketplace.
As the rate of growth of the Asian marine leisure marine industry far exceeds that of the traditional markets of US and Europe, more international companies are looking to Asia for key growth opportunities and are using Boat Asia as a platform from which to launch and showcase their products to the growing affluent community.
Backed by a record-number of quality buyers and genuine interest from HNWIs visiting the show, Boat Asia 2011 saw over $30million worth of sales sealed within a four-day period. The unrelenting interest and sales of varied yachts, including the superyacht Horizon EP105 yacht, generated during the first few days of Boat Asia 2011 is evidence of the show’s credibility and appeal as the most powerful sourcing event within the region.
Keen interest from some of the world’s most prestigious boat dealers, including Gulf Craft, Horizon Yachts, Simpson Marine, Sunseeker and Westport, stemming from the exceptional success of this year’s show, has already prompted the producers to consider expanding their exhibition space next year to accommodate the upsurge in exhibitor requests.
Carrying forward its unique concept as a show that integrates both boating and lifestyle elements, Boat Asia 2012 will once again offer great networking opportunities with a packed program of activities which will cater to boating and non-boating enthusiasts alike.
Mr. Herman Ho, Managing Director, TMX Show Productions said, “Boat Asia was created to meet the growing luxury needs of the fast developing Asian elite. By bringing together some of the world’s leading dealers and brands, the event offers a comprehensive overview of the latest products and innovations in the leisure marine sector. I believe that Boat Asia will increase the already significant momentum in the marine sector and position Singapore as a regional hub for marine events.”
